  • ABOUT LISA

Hi there! I’m Lisa and I am a Licensed Associate Counselor and Nationally Certified Counselor working toward my LPC. I’m also a NJ Certified School Counselor.

I earned my M.Ed in School and Mental Health Counseling from William Paterson University as a mid-life career changer, and can appreciate the pivots and transitions our lives can take us – it’s all a learning journey!

I’m a compassionate, authentic, trauma-informed therapist who takes a person-centered approach to working with clients. My diverse background as a career changer, working parent and family member of neurodivergent relatives aid in my providing empathetic care to young children, women and their families. In short... I GET IT!

I have experience working in depression, anxiety, ADHD (adult and child), attachment disorders, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder. I utilize a variety of approaches in treatment, including play therapy, somatic therapy/mindfulness, and creative counseling techniques with both children and adults and keep a safe, soft and comfortable therapy room appropriate for all ages.

I’m a member of the American Counseling Association and an avid consumer of research, articles, and continuing education that aid in my client work.

I will be perinatal mental health trained and working towards certification (PMH-C) by Postpartum Support International in June 2025 and look forward to supporting maternal mental health needs with this certification.
